celtic-fc: Remembering Reamonn Gormley “Today, February 1, marks an extremely sad anniversary as, just 12 months ago, Celtic fan, Reamonn Gormley was attacked and killed in Blantyre on his way home. The tragic and senseless death of the popular 19-year-old touched the hearts of the Celtic family throughout the world, while the greatest loss was felt by those who knew Reamonn best, and who had lost a son, a brother, a relative, a friend. Reamonn’s all-too-short life served as an example of the good people can do, and the popular university student, who had been a talented youth footballer, also spent time with the Good Child Foundation in Thailand, doing voluntary work during his holidays. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Celtic Football Club and, indeed, the whole Celtic Family, remain with Reamonn’s family, particularly on this very sad day.”
